Surely it is written: it is more difficult for Achmed to put a damsel in a burka when she is armed with an AR 15. Semper Fi!

If Robert Heinlein were still around, maybe he could write a story about the future where anyone who can field strip and function check his piece in 60 or less gets a vote; otherwise, not. You step in the voting booth, disassemble and reassemble the weapon, and the voting switch unlocks. The book could be called STAR-TROOPER PODKAYNE or something.

Awesome. I never could do it under a minute and I had more motivation to do so. Or at least meaner guys motivating me with many many pushups when I failed.

Wow. I can't do that (yet). My own 11-year-old saw that and said, 'I want to be able do that, too!'.

Next week, we start familiarization with the AR-15 platform...

(And I don't even try to do the handguards without a tool.)

That and her charming grin at the end brings Amelia to my mind too :D

It's funny how it can make me smile like and idiot when almost everybody I know (I'm european) would scream in horror instead if they watch the video...

What was up with that? I know fpb has kind of a peppery temper, but I don't understand his reaction here.

I'm one who also gets irrationally indignant on the intertubes, so I can't really criticize. And unlike FPB, I really don't have any excuse for it in my health or in the disappointments of my private life nor do I have luminous writing to compensate. So, you know, God bless him and keep him.

But it was a great video and worth putting up. Martial skills are skills and, done well, are worth taking joy in. That girl can fieldstrip faster than I could when I was in. Good for her.
